Qumuna member management explained

Find and organize the current member directory, invite or import people, review requests and suggestions, manage membership status and roles, and retain appropriate historical context for administrators.
Short answer: Qumuna member management gives authorized community leaders tools to bring people in, understand the current roster, change access responsibly, and handle departures. Ordinary members can participate without receiving administrative control over the directory.
Build and understand the roster
Leaders can invite people, resend invitations, import a prepared list, review join requests or member suggestions, and search, sort, filter, or configure directory columns. Current, all, and past views help administrators distinguish active membership from historical records.
Manage access and status
Authorized leaders can add or remove members, suspend or freeze access, change roles within plan and permission limits, manage sub-community membership, and use member messaging where appropriate. Each action should follow the community's published process rather than becoming an informal shortcut around consent or conduct rules.
Respect visibility and authority boundaries
Historical roster views and management actions are not available to ordinary members. Parent administrators may manage eligible descendant communities, but the server still checks each action. Qumuna does not provide unrestricted roster visibility, arbitrary impersonation, or a way for the sole remaining member to leave an orphaned community.

Write down who may invite, approve, suspend, and remove members, then test those responsibilities with a small pilot roster before opening invitations. Create a Qumuna community when the process is clear.
